I run highly collaborative scrum teams across design, research, product, and engineering prowess to create cohesive features that meet our high-water mark for quality and success.
I lead the construction of complex, sophisticated systems in both B2C and B2B sectors that support nearly 1k users a day - while balancing end-to-end research, data management, and nimbly scaling our front-end and back-end systems.
During my time at Nava, I have helped to initiate and develop both the Nava Design Salon and the UX Research Repository! See more below.
Quick note: these projects are currently under NDA and contain sensitive particulars! For more information, feel free to schedule time with me to walk through these works in more detail.

Designing a modern, sophisticated, and highly interconnected unemployment application management system to support everyday people and communities in New Jersey.ย
We create and iterate on designs in Figma, Storybook, and local environments every day, following best user experience and visual design practice.
We run quick, scrappy usability research paired with longer-term qualitative generative studies and large-scale quantitative surveys.
We collaborate nearly every day across 9 scrum teams and with 30+ external stakeholders to strategize on how we can revolutionize and scale our best-in-class systems and processes.
We monitor our entire user flow and utilize storytelling techniques to narrate how our consumers first learn about platform, all the way to when they receive their benefits.ย
We use data-driven approaches to track metrics in various analytics platforms and dashboards to uncover issues, failures, and gaps in our ecosystems.

Creating a high-quality, streamlined, and comprehensive electronic reporting pipeline for all public health sources to send critical data, support the communities around us, and save lives.
We created a universally-applicable data-driven ecosystem map to track how health data was generated by everyday people on one side, and ended up in the hands of Public Health professionals on the other side.ย
Via solo effort, I conducted a thorough and meticulous research project to strategize how CDC ReportStream could onboard over 1k data senders, with my results changing the course of multiple project roadmaps.
I created and maintained the ReportStream Research Operations by creating centralized source-of-truth documentation, processes, and materials in order to guide both current and future Design and Eng practitioners on the project.
I represented CDC ReportStream at the 2024 CSTE Health Conference, and forged onboarding connections with over 20 organizations (and had a blast!)

Nava Design Salon
I helped to develop and re-initiate the Nava Design Salon! Before my time at Nava, Design Salon was a monthly meeting to compare and give feedback on design work.
In my role, I work directly with the VP of Design to decide monthly topics, conduct outreach, coordinate, and help run the show.
Nava Research Library
I lead the initial creation and maintenance of the Nava Research Library! I established the library so that people at Nava could "check out" a extensive list of research methods, synthesis processes, business development work, and other templates crucial for great UX design and research.
The Library is a living, growing community...folks have added their own favorite method templates or project-specific work as the years have gone by.
"Shoutout to Dylan for stewarding Design Salon - you should be proud of your work. Holding these events is no simple feat; it shows dedication and focus to detail. Thank you for holding this spacel it is deeply appreciated and helps to build team culture and craft.
VP of Design, Nava PBC
"It takes a village! Thank you to Dylan for standing up our Nava research index. Because of this effort, our teams at Nava will have access to a robust archive of rigorous, high-quality, user-generated data -- making Nava faster and better. Thank you for your partnership and thought leadership! "
